Southern Decadence 2009

Back home once again from an amazing trip to Southern Decadence in New Orleans, LA. What a weekend! My man, Chad Manning and I, had our first trip together alone and without an itinerary planned by a studio. At first we were unsure of what to do; kind of like that awkward dream you have in high school where you are sitting naked in class. We both said to each other wow, our first trip as a couple to a city and an event that neither of us have been. So the clean canvass was totally ours to paint whatever picture we so desired.

I think an event like Southern Decadence could make or break couples, however I feel that it is all in the communication between you and your man. Seeing that our relationship is still very young, I would be a liar if I did not say that I was a little worried about us surviving Decadence; as I am sure Chad will agree. Even though we are very young COMMUNICATION is KEY to any relationship and WE talk about EVERYTHING! On top of that we were to meet some of my closest personal friends. In fact to tell you how close they are to me, I do not consider them to be friends anymore, they are family!

As with any relationship it is always difficult to meet the others friends and family. Feeling like one is under constant scrutiny day and night being judged with every move, puts added pressure on anyone. Thank goodness that all the members of my family in attendance accepted everyone and on top of that had a fucking blast at the 2009 Southern Decadence. I am proud of Chad and my family for being who they are and standing up for the things that we each believe in. I must admit even me, El Lobo, The Wolfe, became a little soft from the overwhelming emotion of the strength, courage and stamina of our family.

Looking back I believe that we made our own mark on the Decadence event. As we returned to our hotel one evening we marched our happy asses back in a couple rows composed of four and five guys per row holding hands. Not to toot my own horn, but we looked fucking hot, there wasn't an ugly man (inside or out) in our little army. By the response we got from other passersby we made one hell of a statement. Not one of us was puny in musculature nor of willpower or of the mind.

I would like to thank all of my friends and family who attended the 2009 Southern Decadence, it was great seeing you once again. I would also like to Thank all of Chad Manning's fans and my fans for being so gracious to us during our trip to Southern Decadence. As to the organizers, workers, staff, and the City of New Orleans: Thank You for hosting such a fun and wonderful event!

God Bless you all!
See you again next year.
